Background +

A former student-athlete, Marilou has over two years of experience as a personal coach, both in the clinic and on the field, including futsal coaching.

Focused on functional training, she builds programs adapted to different profiles and sports such as trail running, soccer, and flag football. She also supports people living with injuries or persistent limitations toward a sustainable return to activity.

On the sport and professional side, Marilou was Quebec futsal champion (cadet) in 2018, is a member of the PLFQ, and founded the Nautilus Plus running club in Laval in 2023.

She is also involved in a research project with the Montreal Alouettes on the influence of psychosocial factors (including fear of movement and kinesiophobia) on pain, recovery, and performance—work that supports a rigorous, evidence-informed practice.

Coaching Vision & Philosophy +

Marilou’s coaching philosophy is built on movement quality as the foundation of performance. She believes that well-mastered movement helps produce more strength, power, and efficiency, while reducing unnecessary stress on the body.

Her approach prioritizes technique, control, and intention before load, volume, or intensity.

By optimizing movement patterns and the body’s ability to tolerate sport demands, she aims to develop more resilient, confident, and durable people and athletes who can progress long term.

Passions +

A hybrid athlete at heart, Marilou practices and integrates several sports into her daily life. She competed in soccer and flag football at the university level and has a strong passion for trail running.

Curious and drawn to challenges, she also enjoys exploring other sports like tennis, golf, and a wide range of physical activities.

Outside of sport, Marilou loves travel—shaped in particular by a year living abroad in Senegal. Always in motion, she keeps a strong drive to learn and push herself.
